Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, Nick Myers spent much of his childhood in athletics— primarily gymnastics. He competed at the highest levels of the youth divisions as a 3-time junior Olympic nationalist and placed 5th, 7th, and 9th in the county in places like the Superdome in New Orleans. It was here that he gained his willingness to take risks as he developed a tolerance for high G-force maneuvers around wooden and steel bars.

Throughout Nick’s life, he also gained real-world business experience from his father’s business — Spin Techs Inc — a commercial laundry facility. From working alongside his father, he learned customer service skills as his father had the ability to reach his customers’ needs to a level no one in the industry could. Nick moved from South Bend to Grand Rapids to explore the commercial laundry industry as an install lead where he oversaw the installation of large equipment in hotels, nursing homes, prisons, and more.

A year later, he decided to move back to South Bend where he was offered a leadership position to operate a portfolio of 6 laundromats with over 20 employees. During this time, he took the opportunity to bring these laundromats back to life by working with local contractors, building owners, and employees to develop a bright, clean, and safe environment for each store.

From learning to take risks and Nick’s firsthand business management experience, one thing that has never been lost is his creativity. While his new role at Sharp Wilkinson is vastly different, he is passionate and eager to learn. “I have an unrelenting passion to succeed in anything I put my mind to! I’ve always been an artistic, abstract thinker,” says Nick, “Much like Brazilian Jujitsu, photography and videography are an ever-branching tree of variables; like jiujitsu, photography can be very unforgiving., as just moving an inch to the left or right can make the difference between ‘submitting your opponent’ or ‘being submitted.’ For example, you only get one shot at taking a photograph of a wedding couple kissing. Every action becomes a very teachable moment. Instant feedback! At the same time, the possibilities are endless, and the rewards are gratifying, tangible, and exponential!”

While Nick will primarily be focused on photography and video production in his role as Multimedia Specialist, the entire team at Sharp Wilkinson is excited to have him here. “The idea of sales, graphic design, and developing marketing strategies has always fascinated me. I firmly believe Jack and Chris—as well as the rest of the team—will help me reach that peak” says Nick. “Ultimately, my goal in this role is to create enticing and cutting-edge content for all our clients through creativity, curiosity, and experience.”

In his free time, Nick enjoys photography, cinema, Brazilian Jiujitsu, and listening to podcasts like Gary Vee, Jocko Willink, and Joe Rogan.
