Jon’s Origin Story

Jon’s passion for video and photography began early. “I’ve been into movies and cameras since I was a kid, so going to school for video production and then a career in it was an easy choice for me,” he shares. Jon began his formal multimedia journey as a high school intern for the media center at SonSet Solutions, later earning his degree in film production from Huntington University.

Cue the Training Montage: Building Jon’s Creative Skills

Jon brings a wide range of experience to our team. He has worked as a filmmaker and photographer, served as a video producer at several marketing agencies, and handled freelance photo and video projects. From his technical knowledge working as a lab tech at Gene’s Camera to being a licensed Part 107 Drone Operator, Jon is undeniably a creative powerhouse.

Jon will strengthen our ability to deliver creative, impactful video and photographic assets for our clients. We know great work happens when talented people come together with a shared commitment to excellence. Jon definitely embodies that spirit.

Some of his proudest achievements include creating cinematic videos for L&W Engineering, editing a promotional video for a special edition of Catan, and covering events such as Oaklawn’s Got Talent and the Elkhart Jazz Festival.

Creative Direction: How Jon Finds Inspiration

When it comes to creative inspiration, Jon finds it everywhere from classic films to contemporary series. Some of his favorites include The Breakfast Club, Steve Jobs (the 2015 biopic), The Boy and the Beast, RWBY, and Video Game High School. He cites books like Closed Casket, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, The Wise Man’s Fear, and The Hunger Games series as influential as well.

Outside the office, Jon’s creativity shines through his hobbies. He loves going for walks with his film camera, exploring new places and capturing interesting moments on 35mm, Medium Format, and Super 8mm film.

“I really, REALLY enjoy 35mm, Medium Format, and Super 8mm film and will shoot a project on film any chance I get!”

 He’s also passionate about vintage tech and enjoys reading in his downtime.
